The scale might be much smaller and just an adjunct/ off shoot of mining / mineral resource mapping, claiming, jump point mapping, claiming- which could be awesome but still below the expansive Dreams of the backers. The gameplay implementation of exploration/ research could be amazing or could be a series of Coloured Ray gun tools. Will Star Citizen do better? Think so but it won't be dependent on the Ships. Will it be fun to endless chart jump worm holes? Love Exploration in Elite Dangerous even though it's so repetitive, lacking in detail, variety, fidelity. Excited bout me Carrack but then it's fun to ferry around with Cargo and a runabout.
